加拿大兽医 Dr. Krista Nelson
Krista's lifelong dream was of becoming a veterinarian and in 1995, she was accepted to the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario to pursue that dream. She graduated in 2000 and since that time she has worked extensively in small animal general practice in the GTA, with the occasional foray into emergency medicine. In 2006, she traveled to various countries in Europe to perform volunteer spays and neuters on the feral cat populations, to help reduce the homeless pet problem. In 2009 she joined the Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital where she currently practices emergency medicine.
One of Krista's passions is client communication and she has had the opportunity to interact with many pet owners via various Ask the Vet Events, including most notably, those sponsored by PawsWay in Toronto. She has authored many articles in various publications, including the Canadian Veterinary Journal, The Scalpel, Snap Scarborough, Inside Toronto and Canadian Veterinarian.
